Please check the masternode status after the update!

After the update, wait that the node is synced, check the masternode status and when the status is not "Masternode successfully started" restart your masternode.

Option 1: You are using the official GOSSIP unattended masternode install script

Download and execute the script and choose "2" for update

wget https://bitbucket.org/GOSSIPCOIN/gossip-mn-autosetup/raw/master/gossip-mn-autosetup.sh && sudo chmod +x gossip-mn-autosetup.sh && sudo ./gossip-mn-autosetup.sh

Done.

Option 2: You installed manuell

Goal: Replace the gossipd and gossip-cli with the new files.

Download the the wallet Version

wget -c https://bitbucket.org/GOSSIPCOIN/gossip/downloads/gossip-2.3.0-x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.gz

Extract the archive

tar -xvzf gossip-2.3.0-x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.gz

Switch into the folder where the masternode is installed and stop the daemon

sudo ./gossip-cli stop

Delete the old daemon, cli and the debug.log

sudo rm gossip-cli gossipd debug.log

Copy the new daemon and cli to the correct folder, set execute rights on the files and delete all unused stuff

sudo cp gossip-2.3.0/bin/gossipd . && cp gossip-2.3.0/bin/gossip-cli . && rm -rf gossip-2*

Start the daemon

sudo ./gossipd

Check the function

sudo ./gossip-cli getinfo
sudo ./gossip-cli masternode status

When you are starting the daemon with "sudo ./gossipd your installation is NOT reboot safe! The best way is to create a service (unit file). Much more easier is to use the GOSSIP masternode install script, we are creating here a unit file. The daemon will be all-time on and reboot safe.

But I think when you using the manual installation method you have Linux experience and you know what you are doing.
